VENUE ACCESS

The Deco Theatre has been designed with an emphasis on access facilities. This guide gives information to assist you in planning your visit and on facilities for people with disabilities.

All areas of the Theatres are accessible to customers with limited mobility, including wheelchair users. There is level access from Abington Square, through into the foyer, a lift enables access into the bars and to the auditorium at the back of the stalls. The building features wide corridors and doors, and additional toilet facilities for disabled people. A front of house lift provides access to the mid circle and rear circle, this is fitted with voice commentary and tactile aids.

DISABLED PARKING

There are disabled parking facilities on the ground floor of St Michael’s multistorey carpark on St Michael’s road, next to the venue,which also has good street access at the front of the car park. The Deco is situated on the right hand side as you exit.

BOOKING

When booking your tickets it would assist us if you could provide as much relevant information as possible, to enable us to offer you maximum comfort and enjoyment when you visit the venue.

Here's a helpful checklist of things to consider when booking a ticket.

Please let us know:
- If you are a wheelchair user.
- If you are attending with a companion, where you wish them to sit
- either alongside you or behind you.
- Whether you require assistance if you are visually impaired.
- Whether you wish to have your guide dog in the auditorium with you during the performance or taken care of by a member of staff.
- Whether you require appropriate seating for a sign-interpreted performance.
- The configuration of your wheelchair. For example, is it wider than standard? Is the horizontal length greater than the standard?

PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO HEATH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS PATRONS WHO ARRIVE IN A WHEEL CHAIR CAN NOT BE SEATED IN AN AUDITORIUM SEAT.
