County towns go crackers over Peter Pan this Christmas!
October 11, 2009
Former EastEnders star Louisa Lytton and fellow cast members of the Peter Pan Panto at Northampton's Deco Theatre have made such an impact, they have been invited to turn the Christmas Lights on in five county towns!
Louisa, Danny McCall, Tony O'Callaghan, Christina Baily and Hazel Pude will be the star attractions at the "Switch-Ons" in Northampton, Kettering, Daventry, Brackley, and Rushden, ahead of their first night on December 7. They have also been invited to do the honours on the county borders, in Rugby and Harborough.
"The response from people all around the county has been fantastic, and we are all really excited to be getting out and about to meet so many people in and around the county," said Jill Roach, of Peter Pan producers Stage Right Productions.
"We think we have a great show lined up, and a great night out for everyone, and that has been reflected in the enormous amount of goodwill from people who have been booking tickets.
"Many people are absolutely delighted that The Deco is back in business, but also they appreciate that we are putting the emphasis on making this very much a Northamptonshire show for Northamptonshire people, which we have demonstrated with the use of local companies to provide all our various services and needs, ranging from marketing to ice cream!
"There is also a local feel to the show with our support performers - the Lost Boys have been provided by a local theatre school, and our Search For A Star, for local performers to play the roles of Michael, John and Wendy, has been a phenomenal success - there are some very talented people in Northamptonshire, and we now have some tough decisions to make!"
